exactly...How can a computer quiz tell how you feel and act? It cant its just a program and sometimes people can take it way too seriously. Its just there to mess with your minds.

It doesnt know you like your friends an family.

The trouble is that I know I have problems, but Gambit is the only adult in my family that will admit that I do besides me. (among those I've explained them to) The good thing about that is, he's the only one of them who lives with me(Gee, I wonder If there's any connection there,

), the bad part is, it's a lot worse when people who are supposed to worry about you tell you it's all in your head.

Oh well. It could be way worse.

Thanks guys, but I don't believe everything online tests have to tell me. I *do* know that I have been seriously looking at these problems for a while, and to be told that I have a high chance of having them by any test is pretty bad... Plus, I was a little angry and frustrated when I took the test, but that didn't change my results... it just changed how I might have reacted to them. I'm currently trying to find a doctor who will find me a psychiatrist... It's difficult, because my current doctor is such a prick... At any rate, hope to see you guys soon.

Such an online test is a joke, at best. The average person DOING a test like this will succumb to the joke. They fill in the answers that will give them whatever answer it is they EXPECT to find. This is another trick of the "predicting" trade. You let the person who has come to you to tell you what they want the future to be, then you tell them a semi-complete version of it, and suddenly you're amazing. These tests, wether created by doctors or what not, are NOT complete. They have questions that are answered by what you THINK the answer should be... That way you create your own results.

I took a test like this one in the HPH (Hamilton Psychiatric Hospital) and I'll tell you that the doctor told *ME* that it was not to get accurate answers, it was to see what I thought of myself. Accurate answers came from the times he sat me down and talked about some things... now that doctor sucked because basically he told me "You're right, what are you gonna do about your problems?" Not to say this is what will happen all the time... but you need a doctor to help through these things... This test is much like the one I took... and if it *IS* the same idea, it is not intended at all to tell you what disorders you might have... but in a strange way, it tells you what disorders you *WANT* to have.

The cure to your mental health is to stop wanting bad things to happen to you... unfortunately most people never have the ability to stop wishing for it. And most people never know they're doing it at all.

Very insightful, KitZune~~~~~ :: nods emphatically :: Although I do actually show a lot of signs of borderline, well~ ^^;;; I'll bet that what you say is true. Very very often, I'll be able to totally sway my mood or opinion of something just by kind of willing it -- and I know so many people do this, subconsciously or not. I think these online personality tests are fascinating, but I don't take the results seriously enough to be too terribly worried about them.

What personality tests are, are a huuuuge practice in narcissism, hehe. They kind of confirm for us what we want to believe we are, ne? It's like validation, I guess, if that's the word I'm looking for here... hm... ^^; But I still love to do them. Even in that convoluted way, they'll tell you something about yourself. And they're fun time-wasters! Wasting time is always good, for people such as myself who have so much time to be wasted.

I didn't even know what borderline personality disorder was until I took that test... Then I did the research, and it's *VERY* likely I do have it... But as I have said, and will say again, I'm going to wait until I have seen the proper specialists so they can say what I have and what I don't have, and how I should go about dealing with whatever problems/difficulties should arise.

Kind of like TheSpark.com :: snicker :: What personality tests are, are a huuuuge practice in narcissism, hehe. They kind of confirm for us what we want to believe we are, ne? It's like validation, I guess, if that's the word I'm looking for here... hm... ^^; But I still love to do them. Even in that convoluted way, they'll tell you something about yourself. And they're fun time-wasters! Wasting time is always good, for people such as myself who have so much time to be wasted. Aaaaanyway... Talk to you all later.
