If Tribes Shut down......

If tomorrow Tribes was shut down, no master server and all accounts wiped, where would you go? What would you do? Would we separate and go our separate ways? Would you pay thousands of dollars to run a master server?

I would try and find a game we all like and could play together, like Counter Strike or some other fps, as I am not a fan of rpg.

I would too... it would be fun, and I would *hate* to lose all of you... God, if it weren't for THZ, I wouldn't know Kit *half* as well as I know her now...

Games come and games go. I wouldn't really care if T2 bites the big one.

We can always switch to "Halo", it should be out soon.

well i would probably pplay D2 ... and whatever game's that you guy's would play ... i would just learn it ... and you know i don't know what i would do withouth you guy's.

I think I would go see my lawyer about a class action lawsuit.

I suspect that the major software retailers would do the same. I was in BestBuy with Iceman this weekend. Tribes][ is still on the shelves, selling for $30.00. You just can't sell a game that is depended on company provided servers when they are slated to be shut down.

I REALLY don't think they would do that.

Halo will be on PC, XBOX, and (DEAR GOD) Mac. It might be a good game to pick up as would TF2

Sierra is by law required to support Tribes 2 for a period of no less then 5 years. As would anyone who would buy out sierra. Only if Sierra filed chapter 11 would we need worry

however, TF2 or Halo would be good choices. . .I remember how counter strike use to be. It was great, right before the patch where they put jeeps in. Nothing after that was a good change.

Isn't Halo supposed to be all 3rd person? If so, I don't think I would like it.

The early preview movies of it looked pretty cool, though.

http://halo.bungie.org/ Microsoft bought Bungie and bumped the release for the PC version and are going to produce HALO for the XBox first, then it will be released for PC and MAC.
