Arrrrghhhhh!!!!
I just had the bus trip from hell... I spent 2 hours of my time on a city bus, riding on *very* dangerous road conditions (after we had snow and freezing rain all yesterday)... Only to find out that McMaster University cancelled all classes today. Now, normally I would be rejoicing, and I'm sure as the day goes on, and I get drunk, the joy will come... but right now I'm pissed that Mac couldn't have made that decision *sooner* so I didn't have to take my life into my own hands.

Sorry, but student safety is not part of the university's Policy. Unless you are on a Student Health Plan that includes accident coverage. . .then they will tell you that your plan does not cover anything that happens off campus and it is your fault for not paying them more money to live in on campus housing. If something should happen to you on campus the university staff will be there as soon as possible to hand you a letter telling you your coverage has been cancelled due to late payments (even if this is not true). Should you manage to get into an ambulance before said letter arrives, the university will not authorize any treatment that might be beneficial in any way.

Heh, but you're safe. That is the important thing. In spite of the incompetence of the University.
