I still have my Tribes1 CD. Oh, how fun it was to be in the scout shooting missiles down on groups of people firing chainguns into the air with all of them missing. Oh those were the days.

I fondly remember destroying plasma turrets with perfectly timed grenade/chaingun (or plascannon)/jetpack bursts.

Also, my turret defense was nigh unstoppable in most bases.

And Mines.

And...I could go on. Tribes is probably the most perfect multiplayer experience I have ever had. Nothing since has engaged me the way it did.

Dying and respawning and attacking repeatedly so fast that the enemy literally thought you were in two places at once? Priceless.

Tribes was the first First-Person-Shooter that ever got my attention. It brought me onto the internet and into Lords of Steel. Ever since then I have been online and having fun with people that I had never met in person. Up till Tribes1 I had been playing RTS's almost exclusively. Now I can't enjoy games as much unless I am working with others.
