Default Quake Wars

What do you think of this game? I'm hoping it will be a good multiplayer one and they say the maps are big on it too.

"Wait and see" sums it up for me. Very tough to trust pre-release stuff these days.

that does look neat

i don't think industry pre-release has ever given itself the chance to engender any sort of automatic trust, but rather automatic skepticism; how many years have we been hearing about another Duke Nukem game?

though, i think in light of that skepticism it's perhaps made us (generally as a gaming demographic) a little bit more objective in looking at new product... i think some might look at pre-release stuff these days and say, 'that looks awesome! now, how will it really look...', and thereafter we see many debates on how something stacks up to its hype.

sorry, i just had wine. did that make sense? yes, i'm aware i'm typing this instead of checking that for myself.

"Looks great, less play" comes to mind from "Tastes great, less filling."

It won't be until they release a demo before a true judgement can be made. I think this because of what happend with Tribes: Vengence.

That shot does look nice, and the concept is interesting. I have doubts about how realistic they'll manage to make it, but in a sci-fi game they can say that medics really *can* bring the dead back to life

I didn't get into BF2 because of the lack of realism in a setting that *should* be realistic, but this looks like it'll have a better chance of catching my interest. And also spurring me to upgrade my computer

Looks great but will have to see how the actual gameplay is.

I tried BF2 but the interface alone made me not to play it anymore and other little things.
