[PC Game Review] Deus Ex: Invisible War
So far so good... Everyone's calling each other terrorists, with no clear choice for you to follow. I like it! As long as I put aside the horrible problems I had with getting this game to work, all is well. (They use the RT patching system... you remember? From T2? Awful, slow, stupid, incompetent... Yes, everything I remember it to be).
So far, game play is smooth, level transfers take a little while (Kinda annoying), unified ammo is an interesting twist, giving you basically a tactical decision over what weapons to take, as opposed to an economic one. I don't know whether I'm ever going to run out of ammo.... So I keep my poisoned knife with me at all times! This is a messed up review... I'm sorry, it's late. I give the game 4.5 out of 5 stars. (.5 is lost because of how irritating it was to get the game up and running, and how the installation screen had graphics corruption issues because my resolution was 'too big'... I hardly think 1280x1024 to be too big) Homepage http://www.deusex.com Rating ( 4.5/5 Stars ) |

I installed it on my computer, didnt have any problems, but I don't care for it. It looked cool from all the commercials and stuff but when I played it something just wasnt there. Cool features but it took too long to do things and getting the implants was weird to me. Looks like a cool game but something was missing from it for me. I never finished the game it lost my interest, guess its just not the game for me.

The first one was awesome - one of my most favoritest all-time bestest games. This second one had mixed reviews, and so I've held off getting it. I'll likely pick it up sometime.

It's worth a play... I like it a lot more than the first, it's straight-forward, very goal oriented, and you *can* get around people, it'll just take specific biomods. (I prefer the hide in shadows and snipe heads method myself)
Everything was going great until I fell through the floor o_O. Apparently there's a hole in the programming or something, because I went to crouch, and fell through the floor... weirded out. Kinda reminds me of the last level in System Shock 2...

SS2 was also a great game, and even done by some of the same folks. I wasn't thrilled by that last level or two, though.
