I want to make my own avatar instead of begging everyone else to do it for me .... I wanna know if there is a decent free program i might be able to get to do this. Thx

well there's this little toy that's quite customizable for making a portrait, various options available for each part

but seriously, photoshop wizards like me would make you an avatar no problem, just say what you like or find some good source material

good place to look for inspiration is google's image search or look for abstract computer generated wallpapers on places like customise.org, you can pull an interestng piece out of any pic you see and i'll fix it up to your liking, even animated stuff like mine

mine and gryphons sigs were both made in that fasion, just find some interesting abstract wallpaper, pull a piece out and add text and logos
