Red face Need Help

Ok need all you computer nerds to come out and try to help me .

Ok whenever I play T2 Im gettin this jittery movement, EVERYTIME I move, never goes away. I went into Settings and turned everything down to 0 and still got the jittery crap. After BJ messed with it for a while we think it might be something outside of T2 running but what?

This is what I have:

P3 450
RAM 128
GF2 V7700

Ok go at it Im willing to try anything, I WANT TO PLAY!!! And this crap makes it no fun to play .

I'll email you my copy of opengl2d3d, if you'd like. That's what was causing all of my jittery problems from before...

Well she solved most of the problems last night. There were about 20 helpctr's running when she did a CAD and stopped all them. She also closed mIRC and ICQ and she said that the game was doing much better.

I notice this on both our computers, running WinME overnight we end up with about 20 helpctr's running in the task menu. :/

The "jittery" problems you are having are probably the result of choked bandwidth somewhere. As Cerb and Gryph said, closing mIRC helps becase it sends and recieves data constantly. I have had this exact same problem. I can't play games at all when running any version of Gnutella. It's a H U G E bandwidth hog, if you want it to be fast. (Who wants to wait 5 hours to get a copy of RealPlayer?)

I have never had trouble with mIRC and icq open, or listening to a winamp stream to boot. The problem here was processor usage, there were about 20 helpcntr's running in the task list making the kernel processor usage 100%

Yes like I said in my last post I ran it with mIRC open and it ran just fine. It had to be the helpcenters running.

I have always played with mIRC open before in T1 and in any other games and NEVER had a problem.

I just want to know how to get rid of those damn Helpcenters poppin up now that we found out what it was.

Get rid of ME... it's evil, and it's always trying to automate the help system, since people never really used it in Win3.x-Win98SE... I'm using Win 98 SE, and it's not too bad... I can handle it.

Hmmm, I know I went back to 98 once and I was to use to the "simple" things....like personalized start menu and more control on the moving things around and stuff. Ummm.....I don't know really, I just know I went back to 98 once and it felt weird.
