Besides, after watching stuff like Ninja Scroll a couple of times, well.... you know. You kinda get......desensitized to that sort of thing. We're all hardened anime fans. I don't think anything could be that bad to frighten us all off the board! =) My bro might get frightned off, but who cares? (I lub j00 guys!)

I wasn't really too fond of that movie, either, although as far as graphic nudity and sex goes, I've seen much worse in anime. I just didn't think Ninja Scroll was as wonderful as everyone else seemed to think it was. :: shrugs :: On the other hand, the quality of animation was quite impressive, ne?

(Has anyone ever seen or heard of CountDown? :: laugh :: )

Well, I did like the animation. I think the effects involving swords (the blind guy, when he reflects the sun with his sword) and all the "techniqes" (the shadow guy, shinjira's claw, 'reincarnation', and the riceball at the beginning). But yeah, the 'other' elements dont appeal to much to me either, but I like nice action movies. It just so happens that theres is a nude person who is mind controlling a roomfull of snakes fighting the good guy at the moment. =) Meh. At least it wasnt bad animation (think Dragon Half) with even more disturbing inuendos ("let your father have some fun too!").

Sex and Nudity is just a fact of anime just as it is with other art forms. That's all there is to it.

Carnal urges are a part of human nature not to be overlooked or ignored, but instead to be *enjoyed*. ^__^ :: laugh :: Often, hentai is the best drawn genre of animation, too. Kids don't care what their cartoons look like, and as a result their shows tend to have the technical quality of Dragonball Z. (No offense meant to fans of the show.) But the purpose of most hentai is for pretty girls to be drawn for the viewer to admire/get off on, and that's that. :: laugh :: For this reason, Ninja Scroll, does, as you say, just fall into the category of an action movie. It's more its plot that I was complaining about.

Generally, yuri and yaoi are something else altogether, what with role-reversals and all, but I shan't stray from the subject *too* far today. ^_^

(And surely you didn't *really* find Dragon Half disturbing, did you? It was just silly. ^_~)

I found Dragon Half disturbing in a funny kind of way. (Or funny in a disturbing kind of way. Yknow, the water-squirter thing.

) It was corny, animation-wise (their feet were like points...), it had the strangest plot (mainchr falls in love with the one trying to kill her (Saucer)), but yeah, it was "just silly" as you say.

Besides, my sarcast-o-meter is reading awfully high on your post Mana-san. Are you joking about the whole carnal urges part? I certainly sounds that way. (Maybe it's some kind of internal/private thingy, in which case I don't mean to offend.)

Anyhow, about the plot... it's your standard Action plot. Meet Mr. Goodguy. His mission is to kill Mr. Badguy. Stuff happens. Ppl die. Big fight, the Bad guy dies. THE END. Maybe the artists tried to fit some form of H into it, but failed. Or maybe It just doesn't click with me. It IS pretty thin, but then, who really cares? It all about flashy swords (and other strange weapons), mysterious 'techniques', exploding rat zombies, and a little clobbering here and there. Everyone sees whatever they see in it. Youre entitled to your opinion, and so is everyone. It's just like music. Different people like different things, and somethimes there is no explanation for it.

Back to topic: When will we see this fablulous semi-H stuff you were talking about?
