My Natural Disasters teacher used to get a raging hard on whenever a distaster would happen... especially if it killed people... the more people it killed the more excited he would be telling us all about it the next day.

I hope the thing blows in daylight so we can get good high quality shots of it like it did 19 years ago. BUT- There's another issue I have with this damn thing, and that Volcanic ash is a serious hazard in aviation operations, and I work at the Minneapolis Airport, and that kind of thing would really really suck to have to deal with, and lots of flights getting cancelled because of the ash, etc.... I don't really want to have to deal with all that shiznit.

They say it won't get that bad. It will be a big explosion but nothing compared to in 1980. Lets hope they are right and the mountain doesnt change her mind . Had a good steam explosion today with a good amount of ash. Light traces of ash to the Northeast. At this writing its having another episode good amount of steam coming out almost hiding the mountain.
I wanna go over there and get a closer look . |
