Just don't get any 'buns in the oven' before the big date, k? I'm a big lobbyist against pre-marital pregnancy.

I would like to wait until we are married also, but I also could care less if someone, or us, were to get prego before marrage.

I agree. I don't think that having a child before marriage is all a bad thing. It happened to me, does that mean I am a bad person?

Not bad.. god, why does everyone think that something I'm against mean I brand that person as bad? I'm a christian, so I think sin is bad... I still sin. I think I'm just going to stop stating my opinion... everyone always takes offense.

no, keep posting your opinion, We sometimes, (most always) need more clarification. IN the spiritual sense, People are led to believe that sex and or child birth out of wedlock are bad. That is their belief, and that is fine. But, there are some people, (Catholics, mostly) that treat you like you are some diseased person, or are not a good role model for ANY children, or that I am taking the "wrong" path in life... Around here, the Catholic curch has it's hands in everything, and it is tough. Tough to go to the mall, with my son and get strange looks, like I am a bad person for being so young, and having a 2 yr old... It sucks.

Enough rambling for now. I don't want to start a huge argument here, and I'm off for a small BBQ with my family at a local park.

Don't worry, I'm not catholic. I'm Anglican... and a cool Anglican at that (US equivalent = Episcopalian). I can't judge at all, 'cause there's just way too much that people could say against me. I mean, really. Drop me a line sometime, SH... laurelin@thzclan.com ...

It would be nice if people waited til after they where married but not these days, no way.

I think if a couple is going to stay together and know it and are responsible then I see nothing wrong with having a child, things happen, but not being careful when having sex and not taking your responsibilites is just childish. We have too many 1 parent families out there, which isnt bad, just would be nice to have a whole family.

WRAP THAT WOODY FOR GODSAKES!!!

Dont you dare stop posting your opinions Laur its good to get people talking about different things and see where everyone comes from.

Hee hee... my parents didn't have me until almost three years after they were married. Mind you, I was born in 83... Those 70's youths were really screwed up, lemme tell you that. (No offense intended to the matriarchical generation... it's thanks to you I exist) At any rate, having two kids and a couple of pets and a house in suberbia is a dream that's been held since wayyyyy back in the 30's, hasn't it? When urbanization hit a huge boom, and new developments were going up faster than the fires that gutted the flimsy houses could take them down? I kinda share that dream... only, I have 1 teensy little problem...

Peeps of any religious stripe judge too easily. Which is why I refuse to join any denomination and refer to myself only as a Christian to remind myself who I am supposed to follow.

Peeps used to look at me funny when my kids were tiny-I looked lots younger than I am-until they saw I was wearing a wedding band. Made me smirk alot.

No, I don't mean all members of denominations judge too easily, just that I prefer to opt out. You aren't offended I hope, because that is not at all what I meant.

I'm not offended... I really don't offend that easily, unfortunately... it allows people to walk all over me in life, sadly. Ah well... I'd rather be nice, and get hurt, than be mean, and hurt others.
