my second PC is acting up

PIII 933MHz
512 SDRAM
GeForce2 64MB
Maxtor 40GB HDD

the computer only has TS on it, and occasiolly I play FFXI on it, and at the moment, it looks like it's loading windows complety fine, and just has the mouse cursor appears and the windows welcome screen should load, it just goes black ans freezes, tried safemode, won't boot.

found others with the same problem, but no one with a solution, so just formatted
