Yes, but it was up against heavy hitters. The Pianist, Chicago (AMAZING!!!), and Gangs of New York.

Yup. I'm curious to see what kind of competition the next one will face. This is one of those legendary type trilogies.

Heh, I'm not worried. And I didn't comment on any of the other films that were in the running this year cause I haven't seen any of them, and couldn't say anything intelligent about 'em.

Over the years, I have come to accept that my taste in book and film is unusual.....therefore when things like LOTR and Star Wars (a tremendous favorite of mine, I even like the prequels) get stiffed, I don't get bothered.

. They arent like the usual shoot 'em up movies that come out and are all the same.
