Ugh. McDonald's sucks.

Case: I used to work on cars. I was changing the oil on a car once, when some of the oil splattered up and hit me in my mouth. I got a few drops on my tongue...and it was horrid. The REALLY disgusting part is that McDonald's french fries taste EXACTLY like used motor oil. I have never eaten there since. The only place that I have eaten at since then has been Jack in the Box...those spicy chicken sandwiches are great!

Okay Maz:

$45 for a burger? How in the world would you even put yourself into a situation where you had to go BACK to get your money back? Wouldn't you find that a little unusual to begin with and argue it on the spot rather than later?

That's like $28 for a burger for us Americans. I'm sorry but I would find that just a little bit odd and would refuse to pay to begin with.

And if you used a credit card or debit card and didn't check your receipt before signing then that's your own fault

I would have started yelling at them...

"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? WHY AM I CHARGED 45 DAMN DOLLARS FOR A BURGER?"

By that point, the manager would come out to see what is going on. AND everyone in the establishment would be looking at us.

I would have a really pissed off look on my face, and the effect of having everyone look at us would put the manager in the position of "get this over quick".

It works every time. The main thing that you have to remember, is that you are the customer, they are serving you. You going to their place, is a privelege for them.

ok this sounds weird me being a guy and all but my favorite fast food place is dicks. not the body part the fast food place if you don't live in washington you prolly won't know what this is but if you do they you better lol

Laur, you are just a fountain of happy facts.

However, i am having a problem linking soy and diabetes. If it is difficult to link Soy to diabetes, then linking McD hamburgers to diabetes would be even harder.

SOY AND DIABETES

Diabetes occurs when cells cannot obtain the glucose (blood sugar) they need in order to survive.

Normally, glucose is produced when the body breaks down complex carbohydrates. Cells need insulin, a hormone produced in the pancreas, to absorb glucose. In diabetics, natural insulin may be present, but cells do not recognize it as such and so cannot absorb glucose.

Research into soy's effect on diabetes found less glucose in the urine of diabetics who consumed soybeans. This could indicate that their cells were able to absorb more glucose.

Soluble fiber, found in soy, may help to regulate glucose levels. Scientists also believe that a high-fiber, high-carbohydrate diet may actually help enable cells to recognize the insulin in the bloodstream. It is important to note, however, that the fiber content in soyfoods can vary significantly.

No but Dicks is really good, We go to the one over by the UW. Havent been in a long while. Shakes, burgers,and fries are great.

And it seems to ALWAYS be packed!!!

The one by UW is ALWAYS packed...even at 2 am, when people are satisfying their munchies.
