So long as you got something attached that most humans don't (wings, for example), you're in.

Heh. I'm in my own story, and I'm not human either. But I will have to write the story before I say anything....

*four months later*
I hear ya, Bug! Ever since we swapped out to this verdammt vBoard, and away from the ezBoard, it threw off my surfing! Oh well, I'll stick it back in my favorites. Can you tell I love the little gryphon emoticons? especially... pity you can't write out 'censored' in text that small... LOL Hmm. Need an animated gryphon laughing. :> Still looking into getting that satellite link... even if the ping is poor, at least it should stay within an order of magnitude. I try hopping on a T2 server every now and then... and still go from about 300 to about 3,000, at random. Bah. Oh, and speaking of hand-thingies (ahem)... I luv my Intellimouse Explorer. There. Obligatory on-topic content.

Dax, yes, they really have vibrating mice. Mostly Logitech making them right now, and they cost $10 more than the corresponding non-vibrating model. It's not a constant vibration or anything, either - apparantly the API is really flexible and they can program waveforms into it, just like some sound processors. So you can have a sharp jerk, or fast vibes, or slow vibes, or strong or soft vibes and everything in between. Depends on the game, of course. A little like a dual-shock PS controller, but more flexible.
I have one of these Logitech iFeel rodents. (I was curious.) Almost every game that supports it has a different effect for each weapon firing, of course, but with some games I can feel my footsteps, and it varies depending on the surface I'm walking on or if I start to slide. I can feel jetpacks in Tribes. I can feel taking a weapon hit in Tribes, vehicles, and using inv stations. I'd like to see a particular vibration used when you're being pinged by someone's pulse sensor, or having a missile lock on you. It'd be kind of a cheat, but neat if the mouse would twitch when your crosshair moved over a valid target. All in all, it's interesting but not necessary. I'm not even sure if I'd miss it if it were gone. I do think it's a cool concept. And for $10 more, what the heck.
