Boredom!!!
We out-produced ourselves, lol... Now we're sitting on our asses and doing nothing. The stupid firewall here prevents us from doing anything exciting, like Yahoo cards, or something...

There is easy ways to get around firewalls, or even work with them. You need to find out what kind it is (if possible). Some firewalls allow NO inbound connections, others listen once your computer has also listened for a connection, others allow certain ports. I'm behind a rather crude router setup (read: half-assed firewall), and I have no problems doing stuff, but then I use a MAC, so everything is easy. With all your spare time, find out just how far you can push it.
As a last resort, you could always remote-control your PC from work. There are several software packages to do so, like ORL's Virtual Network Computing, Symantec's PCAnywhere, Radmin, Telnet Servers, and all kinds of other stuff you can use! |

Hey, you're not doing anything illegal! Why would they fire you? VNC comes with a java client (no need for software installs) so there is no traceability, runs thru the web browser.

It doesn't matter.... We don't have internet access at work at all anymore... We had to move sites. (And yes, Stang, I do work for the municipal gov't of Toronto). The new site had their hard line cut because of some dufuses checking out pr0n. So now we're stuck doing nothing... Sleeping in the vault, where the temp is close to 5 Centigrade...
