Here's another one...

Emerald Shadows and Canary Radiance

Bright like the sun, she sheds her own light.
Shining and shimmering,
Splendid.
Warmth cascades from her,
She is the sun.
The others are merely shadows,
The emerald shadows and the lapis night.
Their laughter echoes, her demure peers
Mock and stare at her flamboyant attire.
Their greens and blues, their dark and drab
Blending in with the background of verdure,
Melting away at her magnificence.
Sure, she is.
And yet...
The time has come,
The bouquet is in hand.
The space between her and her antitheses
Grows with each footstep
Towards the predetermined place.

What is this?
A bouquet of roses and bluebells,
Creating memories of sadness and lost love.
Why?

Insecurity sets in,
Her movements become less than smooth,
Choppy.
A flickering candle in the wind.
Suddenly, she is like them all.
Now there are pea****s and apples in her,
And canary and gold in the others.
Is she the sun?
Perhaps, but she will never know.
The stunning moment of truth,
The Arabesque…
