hahahaha.. Just as long as you keep up the maintenamce, It should last 229,000 more miles. THose things run forever. And Everytime you get gas, check your oil. (Once a week is good, as long as you don't have major leaks.)

Is it the oilpan? Or the Head Gasket? Both are cheap and fairly easy to fix. OR, you may want to go change the oil. What color is the oil? Black? Or a gold color? If it is black, go change it. This may help your oil problem.

If you do go get it changed by someone else watch them.
We take our cars to Jiffy Lube, just cuz we dont have the time to do it ourselves, and they are usually pretty good. But I think they got a new crew in ours and the last time I was in there they tried to pull a scam. I had gone in on a Fri. afternoon and my car and another where in the stalls, one of the technicians comes in and brings a cup of dark oil and tells the other guy in the room that his oil needs a flush or his oil will just turn this color after 5 mins after driving out of this place. The guy of course says no. For some reason I knew that when I came into tomorrow with the other car they would do the same thing, if there were 2 cars in the stall. Sure enough when I took the other car in the next day, and brought Gryphon with me, I saw them go under our car. I told Gryphon (there were 2 cars in the garage just like before) "watch they are going to come to one of us and tell us about our oil", not 2 sec. later they come up to Gryphon and did their shpill. Gryphon just looked at them and said "uh no". We know its not bad cuz a few months ago we had major work on the car and everything has been running fine. Since then it has changed crew, maybe they got caught, and now they are doing a good job but now I watch them closely. There was actually girls working there too, maybe to keep them guys in line , like we woman cant be manipulative . Dont screw me over or you'll pay deeply . Just a heads up! |
