i'm canadian and i hate snow
but i love poetry about snow
here's something I came up with on the drive home today. thankfully i paid attention to what i was doing at the time There's something to be said, about a thick falling of light snow. The world is bathed In an almost unnerving silence. The kiss of flakes on your ear, The gentle white blanket on my coat, The way they grey my hair, Of this there is something to be said. All sound and thought, All but the distant crunch of tires, of feet, The ever present thrum of commuters on the distant highway. Not but for your breath and heartbeat, Sometimes even they can be drowned out By the falling of thick, white snow For which, there is something to be said, if the snow allows it heard. criticism welcome!
