Far as I know, they are going to do a theatrical release, and then an extended edition later. I don't have firm dates on the release of either, since New Line is playing coy about it.

It could be that KIA or someone else will be doing a freebie promotional deal, just like last year, but again, I have no word on that at this point.

I'd recommend you get the EE version, personally, I see no reason to buy both. If they do a freebie thing again that'll be different, but I personally am waiting for the long one.
