Sometimes, a thread is derailed so fast that the conductor doesn't have time to comprehend what is happening, so in a state of panic he bails out, never looking back.
I believe this is one such case. Perhaps when the shock has worn off he will return to see what has become of his precious thread. Maybe if we send a search party we can find him, stumbling through the woods in a daze. If only we had a super high tech helicopter made of space age alloys with the latest sensor packages. And a gatling gun.

Man, that's the beauty of AirWolf. The space age alloys and silent running turbine give AirWolf near-complete stealth flight. It's no wonder we didn't detect him coming in. And God knows you can't catch AirWolf when it's beating a hasty retreat to its hollowed out mesa stronghold which I say again I went to as a child and I swear to God he was there why wouldn't you let me keep running I could have seen AirWolf you miserable bastards I could have seen him and flown in him and we would have been best friends and had cake.
