I saw Gryph. Tried to talk to him on TS? HIs server was full so I palyed another. Then when I checked again. He was gone.

I had the sound down for most of the night and I don't notice the chat very well, so I was just blindly running around and shooting anything enemy, not even noticing the names of the killed.

UT is a lot less personal than Tribes, it is hard to get used to, seems there is no personality, it is like playing a bunch of bots when you blank out the messages.

On our TS server or the ingame one? Lately he hasnt been sitting in our TS when he plays. If your talking about last night I had him turn it down a bit so we could listen to CSI so its my fault

usually he does have the sound on and I watch him and will notice a name and tell him since hes not so bright sometimes

I have a headset, but I also have $400 surrond speakers, so I don't really want to wear a pair of $30 cans on my head

Plus I don't have any extensions, so it would require me to crawl behind my comp every time I wanted to plug them in.

Naw he dont need any headset majority of the time he has them up loud, which I dont care, and just every once in a great while I ask him to turn them down

hehe, well I have a nice surround sound system, and if the bass stays low, I get to play it, other wise I use what were $60 headset(plantronics) think price might be less now, still they sound awful nice

I have a recurring problem, with ut2k4, if I drop from a server, and try to join another server, sometimes it will just freeze on the cover screen(map title, nice graphic of one skin or another, but no game loads) anyone else run across this? I can't say it has been consistent, and maybe they are just dead servers, but I always have to terminate UT, from Task Manager.

My friend SiFi told me about being able to issue voice commands to bots with a microphone yesterday... it's AWESOME! once you get used to how "computer" you have to sound when you talk, you can really start to use the bots to your advantage. I DOMINATED a match of CTF on Face Classic by commanding my teammates around like a champ. So I highly suggest using your microphone and getting used to the commands.
