Default GTA Vice City

I got it for the PS2, and I have to say, it is even more fun than GTA 3. Keep in mind this game is set in the mid 1980's, so think outrageous hair and clothes, 80's music, (Everyone's favorite) and being down in Miami. So you got lots of Bikini's, and fast cars, and motorcycles. Yes, motorcycles. Those have become my favorite vehicle in the game, as they are small, agile, and very fast. Most of the cars from GTA 3 are here, but in a less modern look, which is always interesting, but cars like the cheetah have been given more strength, and you can hit more stuff with them, so you're not as vulnerable in it, even travelling at 100+ MPH down some narrow alley running from the cops.

Also, with the added bonus of being able to buy property, which gives you another save point in the game. It's not too expensive yet, which is good, but there is a LOT of property to be had.

The size of Vice City is amazing. There's got to be double the total number of streets and alleys, and stores in this game. It makes GTA 3 look like you were playing in your backyard. Seriously. It's a thing of wonder, really, because You wander through half the city, and a little more, and you never have any load times until you cross a major bridge, and go to the other side of VC.

The Soundtrack is very impressive with real artists ad their real songs, Like Michael Jackson's Thriller, and a couple others, Twisted Sister, The Beastie Boys, Black Sabbath, and others. The radio stations are another form of amusement altogether, with the outrageous commercials, and interesting listener call ins. And for all you fans of Laslow on Chatterbox from GTA 3; He's back again, but this time he's on VROCK.

I don't know how many missions there are to the main story part of Vice City, but there are a lot. I've done a whole bunch of them, and I'm only 15% through the game. My Favorite mission so far has been one with a helicopter, and I had to machine gun my way into a drug Lord's house from the chopper to get a certain case back for someone.. It was very fun blasting people from the chopper. Difficult, but fun. Another is using an RC Chopper to blow up a building. I was surprised at the smoothness of the flight controls, and how well everything worked.

All in all, I give this game 5 Stars.

Yeah, I been playing it more and more, and it has been a fantastic game. I'm about 25% finished now, with about 15 hours of playtime in.. But I've been doing lots of exploring and stuff, because this city is so huge, you really need to know it before you can go causing massive destruction.

More games need to do that too. They make such huge maps but wont let you go explore.

Some of the race games we have are like that they are so cool and huge but wont let you go out of bounds and mess around. It's fun messin around and bashing into eachother in other areas.

What's wrong with the console? So It doesn't come with a HDD or Network adapter, big deal. But My PS2 played DVD's right out of the box, without the need for the remote, and The games on the system seem to be selling much better than the XBOX.

I have a dvd player I have thought about getting the adapter, but it would be just for fun. I dont think it is as capable as my existing dvd player.

From what is being done with the hdd, I think it is a huge advantage over other consoles. Downloading whole new maps and contents, all new missions for games really boosts the replayablity and flexablilty. I didn't like any of the consoles that were out until I actually used the xbox, I was a nintendo all the way person. After using the Nintendo and PS2, I don't care for the controllers, and the nintendo's small cd's kind of screw it for use on anything else.

See, I don't like the Xbox controller. Too big for me. And I used to be Nintendo all the way too, but once the N64 came out, I was pretty turned off by it, and I went the way of the Playstation. spending $65 for 1 game was too rediculous to me. And Sony has titles that I can't get on any other console like the Final Fantasy Series, and Gran Tourismo, and Zone of the Enders.

But Enough of that! Vice City Rox0rs!

I think the controller for XBox is a good size, I don't know why people say it is big. Stang doesn't understand either, she likes the controller, and she has tiny hands.

Yeah at first I wasnt sure about the controller but it grew on my fast and I love it.

Any console is going to have a game you cant get on the others thats just the way it works out. But it is cool how they are making games for all 3 systems too.

PS2 comes out with a lot more games but majority of them are cheesy looking and they dont put that much effort into them, not saying all of them cuz some are pretty good. I think XBOX tries to make sure the games they put out are somewhat good that way their graphics come out.

Id take a PS2 if I didnt have to pay for it . Everyone has their preferences.
