Angry Since When Did

The Salvation Army become picky about what items to pick up?

Last week we set up an appointment for them to come pick up some items. Clothes, Bed sets, and some furiture. I had a feeling if they didnt take anything it would be the recliner but I wanted to try anyways cuz ya never know . Well they come, mind you Im home, and they leave a note saying they need consent. So we make another appointment and give them full consent and tell them someone will be home if they need anything. Well they say they will come out the next day and they never showed. We found out they cancelled our reschedule, WTH? So again we make another appointment and tell them again someone will be home and of course they dont show. I think they drivers remember the address and just didnt want to pick it up, LAZY ASSES!

So last weekend we take our stuff to Goodwill and they take EVERYTHING. And polite.

Shouldnt these charity places be taking anything they get? I mean we are generous enough to give it to them to people that really need it and not throw it away, which Im sure some items can be thrown away cuz of the shape they are in.

STUPID STUPID PEOPLE!!!

The Sallies around here do seem more picky than the dudes at Goodwill. Glad you got rid of your stuff, but it's a shame you had to haul it away yourselves anyhow after going to all that trouble trying to get someone to pick it up.

Last week someone here made an unintended donation. A baggage compartment popped open on a small plane and strewed someone's clothes/luggage all over the, I think it was an S.A. donation center.

I like the goodwills in this area, I've noticed the same thing about the SA as well.
Next time you should call the blind or the mentally retarded..they've always picked up anything and everything we had on the curb.

I donate all my stuff to the Canadian Diabetes Association... Since my grampa died from it, I kinda want to help them out so other people's grampas don't die (from Diabetes... old age is another thing)

We sometimes give away uneedede clothings and other stuff to Value Village. They came to our house bitching because we couldn't find a few shirts. Those bastard should be thanksful I'm giving. In the end I broke and gave them some shirts from my closet. Last time I am donating to them!

I would have kicked them out if they were bitching. I don't need that, and I would tell them that when I found them, I would bring them down.

Talking Thanks!

Those people make me mad, but hopefully I will evantually find those clothes. I can not say that I want to shoot him because I live in MD. Those snipers shootings have spooked everyone including me. Schools are in a Cold Blue Lockdown. Nothing about killing is funny right now, but I dislike (another word that means those people are not on my friendly list) those people. I will keep giving because I think giving is right, but maybe with another organization.

From,
Alex

Yeah some of the organizations are way better than others. It seems that the others are loosing what they are out there doing, giving to less unfortanate people, and to take what they get. Sad.

I would have slammed the door in there faces if they acted like that to me and then called the company and complained. Thats just rude what they did.

That's exactly why I don't give away my stuff... They give eople too much grief for doing it, and one time, I hit a GoodWill employee because he really pissed me off. I left before the cops got there, but I really should have stayed around to discus thie issue with the officer, as he threw some kids toys at me, and started to play with some firearms that were donated.... I hate them fuckin people.

The S.A's and Goodwills in thia area arent picky.
However they go through all the stuff, pick out the good stuff, and keep it for themselves, then offer the rest to the poor.
Sad really.

Hey All,

One of my friends found out two years or so ago that he had Diabetes. At 16 years of a age it was a tragedy to him. He acts as if it is no biggie, but I know what he really feels. He can't go out to eat at all and he has to get an insulin shot everyday. I could not imagine eating special foods and being on a special diet. I went on a Diabetes Walk in Washington, D.C. for him. Well, just sharing my thoughts. See ya! (HOW DO YOU GET ONE OF THOSE COOL PICTURES UNDER YOUR NAME?) Thanks!

Friend or Foe,
Alex
