My blog
http://edit.journals.aol.com/xmenclan/GambitsDeck
I'm experimenting with blogging. The experiment is primarily to see if I can keep it up to date, but even as an experiment it's more fun if people read it. So, you're all invited. Please note that colors & format are subject to change with my mood...

ROFL
I keep an minimal AOL account around for some email and webspace when I don't want to use XMEN resources. It's also a handy means for internet connection anywhere/anytime, if I'm on a trip or if my broadband fails. So I saw they had this journal thing, and the feature set was pretty cool. For example, it comes with an RSS feed and I can make entries via IM, so I thought stuff like that would help keep me interested and posting. It was handy, and doesn't cost me extra. If/when I decide that I want to make blogging an ongoing thing, I might move it somewhere else.

Not sure what you mean by "connect to AOL." There's lots of members-only stuff that you can only get to via their front-end, but you can access email, blogs, and a few other things over the web. I can check my accounts from work that way.
You said dialer, so I guess you want to dial in from somewhere to connect to the internet by using your AOL account and not using their software. I'm sure you can do it, but I don't know how many laws you'd break. It's not designed that way and they certainly don't advertise any such capability. The account I keep live costs me $5/month, and I get three hours of connect time with that, whether it be dialup or over my Comcast connection. Using their web-enabled features like email doesn't count against that time.
