Angry Wtf/h?

I don't know what the deal is, but for some reason I am unable to login to T2! I hit login, and the computer just hangs. After about 5 minutes, T2 drops to the desktop and won't start back up unless I restart my computer. I've noticed that my internet connection has been really fishy lately, so I wonder if T2 is timing out but the attempt stays in memory so that my comp won't run two simultaneous T2 operations?

I'm just speculating. Roadrunner's tech department has been (unsurprisingly) unavailable this last week, so I'll have to get back to you guys when I find out what's causing my connectivity issues.

I *hope* to see you all on the battlefield again some day... :-(

Boo-hoo.

That doesn't sound like the ISP problem to me, it sounds like a software problem. Even if the game cant connect and times out it shouldn't drop to the desktop.

Have you tried pressing cntrl-alt-del to see if there is a T2 still running?
Have you tried re-installing?
Have you installed anything new recently?

Wink OH THE HUMANITY (Felinity?)

Ah my little feline friends. My kittens are so cute, they run, they play, they cuddle, they KNOCK OVER MY COMPUTER AND CHEW ON CABLES!!!!!!

Somehow one of them pulled the case off (latch side-opener) and chewed partly on my SCSI cables. Intermittent connections so to speak...

I got a replacement today and its working fine again. Now I have a couple of clamp turrets and motion sensors set up around my computer to take out any stealth cats (water gun, hehe).

So, perhaps I'll see you all soon!

I have THREE cats...

They all rule.

Well... the one is a prissy SOB... and he doesn't let me even touch him, so he doesn't RULE so much as the others...

I think I read on TribalWar yesterday that there was a problem that they where having and alot of people couldnt get on T2 so you might have not made it on anyways .

Yeah, they were relocating a server, and then the LAN cut out, so there wasn't any access to Sierra's servers.

Ya but if you created an shortcut to Tribes2.exe and added -online to the end of the path, to make it look like C:\Dynamix\Tribes2\GameData\SierraUp.exe -online , you would get pass the pacth check, being an IT is very usefull
