Airburst
Don't suppose any of you folks up in Washington saw that meteor they're talking about, by any chance? Supposedly blew up in the air above Puget Sound?

A couple people here in the office told me about it. I didn't hear anything, but it woke both of them up. According to the news they still do not know what it was. The reports that it hit about 90 miles south of Seattle was false apparently. I haven't heard anything yet that said it blew up.
A survalience video caught the flash lighting up a casino parking lot http://www.king5.com If you need to login to view it you can use, user=rsnook@gryphonllc.com pass=meteor |

I heard the boom and it freaked the crap out of me . There were about 10 booms all in a row and I couldn't go back to sleep for a while. But after finding out what it was its pretty cool .
One guy had a home survallence cam going and in his car window you can see the meotor all lite up passing by. I would have loved to see the flash also . They are saying it was a metor but not saying where it could have landed. It really lite up everything so bright it was like it was day for a second. Freaky but exciting!!! |

I suppose King 5 made a HUGE deal out of it? Or did KIRO beat them to it? (BTW, Dawn Scott-KIRO and Debora Feldman-KING are HOTTIES)
Did they interrupt regular programming to say that there was a thing that made a loud noise and a flash in the night sky? Did the headline read, "METEOR OF 2004!!!"?? I miss the Seattle area news.... |
