Default Rebuilding Iraq

Found a great post, which is a copy of an article comparing how the U.N. "rebuilt" Kosovo and how the U.S. rebuilt Germany and Japan, and how the U.S. helped S. Korea and other countries, and drawing conclusions about what needs to happen in Iraq.

I didn't realize Kosovo was in such a mess. It's a shame.

and another, a little different:

Those articles were both very well written, and they make good points. Also, I agree that the UN should have no real role in rebuilding Iraq, unless it's in a humanitarian capacity. They seem to be very efficient at giving out food, water, clothes and medical care, but not much else. They try a little too hard to do nothing in my view. I hope Pres. Bush and PM Blair allow the US and British to rebuild Iraq, and do it the right way. The last thing we need is more enemies.

Id have to agree with SH he said what I was thinkin .

I think the only way we could make an enemy with them is if we helped them rebuild and made them do what we do over here. They need and want the help but they dont want to be like us, yes like us in the sense they want to be free, but not be like us (if you know what I mean). They want to be their own country just need a little help getting the right people to "govern" them.
