I found Dragon Half disturbing in a funny kind of way. (Or funny in a disturbing kind of way. Yknow, the water-squirter thing.
) It was corny, animation-wise (their feet were like points...), it had the strangest plot (mainchr falls in love with the one trying to kill her (Saucer)), but yeah, it was "just silly" as you say.
Besides, my sarcast-o-meter is reading awfully high on your post Mana-san. Are you joking about the whole carnal urges part? I certainly sounds that way. (Maybe it's some kind of internal/private thingy, in which case I don't mean to offend.)
Anyhow, about the plot... it's your standard Action plot. Meet Mr. Goodguy. His mission is to kill Mr. Badguy. Stuff happens. Ppl die. Big fight, the Bad guy dies. THE END. Maybe the artists tried to fit some form of H into it, but failed. Or maybe It just doesn't click with me. It IS pretty thin, but then, who really cares? It all about flashy swords (and other strange weapons), mysterious 'techniques', exploding rat zombies, and a little clobbering here and there. Everyone sees whatever they see in it. Youre entitled to your opinion, and so is everyone. It's just like music. Different people like different things, and somethimes there is no explanation for it.
Back to topic: When will we see this fablulous semi-H stuff you were talking about?
