I have a dvd player
I have thought about getting the adapter, but it would be just for fun. I dont think it is as capable as my existing dvd player.
From what is being done with the hdd, I think it is a huge advantage over other consoles. Downloading whole new maps and contents, all new missions for games really boosts the replayablity and flexablilty. I didn't like any of the consoles that were out until I actually used the xbox, I was a nintendo all the way person. After using the Nintendo and PS2, I don't care for the controllers, and the nintendo's small cd's kind of screw it for use on anything else.
