Fake eBay email...
Luckily, I am ever wary of fake emails... especially when they ask me to log in to a site with my credit information. I just received an email today that for all intents and purposes looked very real... Every link on it went to eBay's website except for the important one, which went to an unsecure login page (that I didn't even load because I was to wary of it).
Just an advisory warning to be careful about these things... eBay has an addy where you can forward emails you think are illigitimate. spoof@ebay.com |
Same for Paypal, spoof@paypal.com Paypal will use your full name in their emails.

As it turns out, this email was indeed a fake.

Lots of those phishing scams around. Crooks! :(
Here's a convicted fraudulent spammer. Not quite the same thing, but close, and I happened to read it today. http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/interne....ap/index.html |
Yah it's been getting pretty bad lately.. sometimes up to 5 bad emails a day!! Have you seen the one that says ebay is giving a way a car and "click here to enter"?
The paypal ones are fairly new. It's going to suck to have them coming from both places! |
