classic cars
Anyone here have a classic car they admire from the old days? I have always liked the Boss Mustang, and there was that cool Shelby Mustang in the anime series Gunsmith Cats.

Mmmmm Mustangs :D
Gryphon had a '65 and we plan on getting another one to fix up when we get more space. I like the one from Gone In Sixty Seconds, Shelby I believe? This family is a big Ford family :). Gryphons uncle makes the old cobras, sure he will put up a link. Now those are nice but a very spendy hobby :). So for now Ill just sit in them :D. |
Yes, that's correct. It was a Shelby GT 500 in Gone in 60 Seconds, but it was a replica. In Gunsmith Cats the animators featured a car true to the original.

Some old cars are lame looking but once you have ridden in one how can ya not go back :).

I'll take the red/white one.

The Super Duty 455 Trans Ams of 1973/74 were quite spry. :D

I want the yellow one Torque :)
Every time I see a Trans Am I think of big hair or long hair and 80's music blarring out of it :D. |
Yeah, yellow is cool. They are one mean looking vehicle. But I heard they ride rough, loud, etc....

Ah ye old Mustang Mach 1 yumm..
Charger, Cuda, Chevelle SS Old school camaro (early 60's model), Stingray Vetts. Drool! Cars that get 50 MPG?!?you can have them!! I'll keep my 93 octane loving WRX nothing like getting 23~24 MPG city driving :) I'm glad to see America is starting to build Sports cars again. Those new Mustangs look great! I heard the GT model is going to be a beast! bout fuuking time. heard the charger might be coming back too.. Hemi goodness! |
dont you know what FORD stands for?
Fix Or Repair Daily!
*keeps head down* just flak from the resident MOPAR man ;) Give me a '74 Challenger with a 350 Magnum any day over a Stang. Royal purple and flat black.... mmmmmm (sorry, Stang. I choose my Challenger over you :) ) Though, the 2005 'stang does look very nice now that i've seen the tail end of it. All the profile pics i'd seen so far made it look like a box with a 69? (think i got the wrong year) front end. They did the tail up really nice as well, and I think if you get the extra package that adds the wing, it finishes the machine off nicely. Caught it by chance on a commercial this afternoon. yourmom: I was in the MOPAR meet in Carlisle, PA earlier this year, and Dodge had the Charger concept car there. It's a sweet, sweet machine. Even a 4-door and it still looks good. I hope they release it as a new 'stang killer :) My dad and I own a '68 Barracuda. It's only got a 225 slant-6, but she's still a fun cruiser. We're looking at getting a '68 fastback 'cuda with a 340 4 spd :) What about something more contemporary, though? What're you guys driving right now that gets your juices going? <- 2001 Saturn SC1 :) I love my silver plastic bullet :) |
