tribes 2 troubles
 

ok so i had some spare time today, taking a break from studying, i got my tribes 2 disc out, it has been unplayable for the better part of a year now because of a nasty circular scratch it had, so i was bored and i decided to whip out the 1500 grit sandpaper and rubbing compound to see if i could sand the scratch down, and to my surprise it actually worked, nice shiny disc now, and it installed T2 without a hitch

i went to 3dgamers and got the latest patch for it:"tribes2_update_full_25034" but when i try to connect it says connection error at the login screen
error code: WS_ServerReq_NoServersSpecifie

WTF

any idea whats up?

either that, or servers are just down because they are being moved to boston, and we are out of luck until they finish(though I'v ebeen informed, from these forums, and xmen forums, that this has already been completed.)

The auth servers are being moved to a new location. There is no ETA on when they will be back up.

alright, they seem to be back up and i played a bit, performance seems really poor though with everything to the max, which is odd because my pc has no problems running planetside at full details(athlonxp3200, 9800pro, 1GBpc3200), and the graphics on that are 5x better, anyone know what's bugging me?

also i seem to be stuck in an old tribe i was in: people in houston

what servers are y'all on most of the time?

Guess I need to jump on and play with ya sometime :). Whenever I played I usually hanged out on the ATF Humpin' and Dumpin server.

darn I had hundreds of buddies, even all of the DEV team, lol

mmm, seems it was direct3d giving me problems, switched to opengl and it runs full detail at high FPS, nice

yep, seems i'm stuck in that tribe, i've clicked "leave tribe" a dozen times but nothing, the browser seems totally messed up, cant search for tribes, players, nothing and i've got this damn HOU appended to my name

now i gotta go dust off my old joystick and find that old joystick script for the shrikes

they better had fix this by tomorrow, giving away the game free and it wont look good if it does'nt work

Hmm, well we can give you an invite to THZ and you can just set it as your primary. Then maybe you can leave that old tribe. Is your nick insaneferret?

ok i checked again today, seems the servers for the tribes and browser are back up, i dropped from that empty tribe and rid myself of the tag, i clicked the invite thing on the THZ but nothing popped up, send me an invite
