I kid you not. This is a sign on a local road around here. You turn down it, you go to the cemetary, and then about a mile further down, there's the city landfill. I've got a shot of this in my own collection from my own camera, but I thought I'd post the one I found on the 'net today.

It's a source of local legend and laughs. I think the Herrin city council keeps it up because it's funny. :)

Where my Mom use to live there is a retirement home accross the street, the sign for the street use to say Dead-End and the retirement home, or the families had it changed to No Outlet.
