You know.... I hope they do a damned good job of it. I mean the system itself can't be that hard (like... INT(RND * 20) +1 is easier than rolling a D20), but giving the power of being a GM in-game is no mean feat.

I love RPG's you know... I just hope it doesn't turn into some hack-and-slash type game, like a glorified Gauntlet Legends, with D20 rules.

I can hardly wait!

yeah it's supposed to be the first game to crack the 80.oo dollar a pop mark, and it's going to cost 29.99 a month to play online.

You can order it now for $55, and there's no pay-to-play subscription. (I'll catch it at the 2nd or 3rd week "hype" sale, most likely, for $40)

As far was what it becomes, that's mostly up to the community because of the world-building and DM abilities of the game. Bioware expects their accomplishments to be surpassed by the community, and they're releasing the toolkit with it that they used to build the thing in the first place.

I do NOT expect this to be a dud.

I also DO NOT expect this to be a dud... since they're packaging it with the toolset, instead of leaving it off foir eternity, it will allow for a lot of flexibility.

I have been making a moduel for about 2 weeks now and It keeps getting bigger, (I think I have a problem). It is turning out good but it is also looking like my old game mastering style. No plan no thought react. Any way to the point. Does any body have a clue how to script in NWN toolset. A friend and I have been chatting back and forth and end up bleeding at the ears trying to figure this out.

actually one of my teammates, at the above mentioned forum, does know how to script.
there's a section called NeverWinterNights, on that forum, and he wiill respond pretty quickly, if a scripting question is asked :)
