The unaskable question...

Please tell me if I'm breaking any FCC laws or 1000 year old Tribes traditions but, Is it possilble to be a member of more than one tribe/clan? Like, what if I played base wit you guys, and shifter with a different tribe. Would that work.
PS: I know about stuff like DTM, It's not what I'm getting at. I'm thinking of a more double-agent -whoops-! Did I just say that out loud? I mean dual citizenship or something of that nature.

Yes and no... With some tribes they allow for dual-clanning... which means you can clan with as many as you'd like.... THZ does NOT approve of this... So yer... it is possible... but no... it's not possible with THZ.

Yes, most tribes are quite happy if you want to be part of more than one, as long as you have loyalty to them all... THZ, like Kit said, is exclusive, in that, we don't pps playing in more than one tribe, because we're trying to develop as a team...

Okay, okay.... I see what u mean. But what if I'm in a Shifter-only clan, and then I join THZ (a Base-only clan). Would that work? I mean, the clans would never overlap... Do u see what I mean?

The XMEN have some dual-members, because some people wanted to play more competitively than we usually do, BEML notwithstanding. Most of these peeps never actually play with us because they're too busy playing with the more competitive tribe. So take that little factoid for what it's worth. :)

We do not allow dual clanning, even if it were to be for two entirely different video games.

We are a cross-game clan... If there is enough interest we will start a new division of THZ. As for now, we are concentrating on getting ourselves into tribes competition... Some clans, LIke Xmen allow cross clanning... We do not because we intend to be competitive ourselves... someday. :)

The concern, MG, isn't with the game platform, it's with dedication to a team. If you are part of more than one clan, the fear exists that you might begin to be less equal with the time you spend with one of them, and you really can't grow with a tribe as much if you are split between two, do you understand? I hope I'm making sense...

Ok.... I get the point. No dual clanning, and stuff. (boo hooo....) I guess the whole story is that I joined a Shifter-dedicated clan, that is getting voted for Adminship on several large Tribes and Tribes 2 servers. (It's HomeLAN, if your wondering...) I'd really lkie to play more base, as I think I'll be playing alot of it if I get Tribes 2. THZ is cool, and I know some ppl who are in it. Ahh well. Thanks anyway. (Thanks for putting up with my persistence.)

We're not competing right now anyhow... Perhaps when you have tribes2, and when we are competing, THZ will be a more appropriate choice for you. In the mean time, pull up a chair and make some more friends... we all have likeable personalities... as long as you look for something to like... becasue we can all be quite irritating as well if you let us :)

I didn't mean to leave the forum (although now that ya mention it it kinda looks that way...) I'm just depressed, and stressed, and loaded with lotsa work and stuff right now. I haven't been playing much of anything in the way of tribes or any other game, for that matter. Too much work. Hey, so what if i can't join THZ right now, it's not like I haven't been rejected from a clan before. My mind is flodded right now... that's all.

No, IRC hates my computer. My firewall prevents the moronic fake IDENT server and their wingate port probe... ahhh. They are security freaks. I can't stand it. Plus IRC is **** in windows anyways. The ONLY good IRC clients are for Linux.
Xchat, BitchX, and KXVIRC. Crappy MIRC and crappier Baxter don't even come close.

But with the CHAT option in Tribes 2... I haven't been in IRC much lately anyhow...

Winamp is up to 2.74 now... Go upgrade! There is no difference other than sound quality.... 2.666 is the first one they came out with publically, and the 666 was intentional ;) Most version numbers go in the X.XX mode... not X.XXX So it was just a joke. The only public version before that, Winamp v 1.0 only played MPP's and those were never popular. The quality of mods at almost double the size of an MPPP. I'm hoping one day We'll have MPPPP technology. ALL HAIL THE ARRIVAL OF THE MP4!!! errr... that is when and if it ever arrives :)

Did some other thread just migrate into this one? Anyhow, Tribes IRC doesn't work for me, no matter how hard I try. I haven't used it since RedSirus taught me how to play tribes. Heee hee. Ahh, I remember that day.... all i could figure out was the targetting laser. lol

Sorry... I was too lazy to use another thread, and Dyno posted in this one, so I knew I could catch his attention... (not an amazing excuse, but my only one)
As for Tribes IRC, that thing is satan. don't even use it. I never did, once I got mIRC. The tribes IRC they're talking about is in Tribes 2, I believe, which is much more useful... Oh, and while I'm on that topic, can you please kick THZ*Laurelin from the THZ chan? I tried to change my tags while in three different chat channels, and it messed up... I am currently using Laurelin[DTM], but will switch again when we have our next practice... I don't know what kind of error is happening, but it's really annoying.....

It's happened to all of us.. it has something to do with switching tags and logging on to IRC.. there is no cure for it but time. I suggest you pick a tag and stick with it. Most people have chosen their clan tag instead of their DTM tag. The best way to tell if you can switch back is by going into the CHAT feature in Tribes 2 and checking.

And mythril gear... I meant CLICK THE BUTTON ON OUR WEBSITES MENU. It's across the top and it says "IRC CHAT" It connects you to our chat server in Tribes 1. mIRC is much better than the Tribes 1 chat... and as soon as mIRC is compatible with the Tribes 2 chatrooms, you can be assured we'll be using that. It's not wether or not the client we're using "sucks" it's wether or not we can actually use something to communicate on a better basis than just plain chatting... ICQ can help for this sometimes... but on occasion we need the entire clan talking... Like at practices.
