Yes, new toys are always fun, but what do you do when they dont work? Did you know that thhere are no good IRC programs for mac? They are all timed demos and nag you to register. So I turn to the trusty java chat right? WRONG. The problem is that it can't seem to connect to irc.dynamix.com... any ideas why?

Not sure why, if it is not connecting, then it may be a problem with a firewall or something. Could you connect before I added the options? It is weird that you wouldn't be able to connect, because the options dont actually do anything to the javachat client accept type commands in for you. The java chat program itself is no different, just wrapped with links.

I put my nickname in (MG)
And i get:
Welcome
Connecting to irc.dynamix.com 6667 ......

I have no firewalls (hardware or software)
Running MacOS 9.2 with Internet Explorer 5, and I have Apple Mac Java Runtime (MRJ) 2.5
