Good luck, d00d. I hope you score big, and make us all happy by making enough money to fund every THZ venture we ever go through... wait, I think I'm WAYYYYY ahead of myself.

YAY! All we need to do now, DeLukas, is the engineer a cybernetic network among the THZ so we don't have to be near a comp to play tribes2, and we can always make it to practice, and always check our email and the forums... wow... I'm excited... I'm so going to dominate you and put you to good use....

Operating Systems class? Interesting. Which ones did you study? Was it all UNIX or did they dip back earlier than that?

And Laur, you have a good idea. Actually, all he needs to do it revive BeOS, put it on a handheld PC, all openGL support and VOILA! Your palmtop gaming system! Now, all he needs to do is fit Tribes 2 on the remaining 1.25 megs of flash memory...

MS-Dos, OS/390, Unix, VAX, Windows 2000 where the ones we studied

MS-DOS is a classic, should have thought of that... what exactly is OS/390 anyways? Is it a BIIIIIIIG upgrade of OS/2???? (hmmm.... soundsl like tribes! 388 patches later....) and as for Unix, what kind of unix? (HP-UX, Solaris, AIX, Digital, IRIX, etc...)

DeLukas

OS/390 is to OS/2 what Windows NT is to Windows 3.1

Unix: All

We studied Process Mangement, Memory Mangement, File and Device Mangement, Treading(windows) and stuff like that

Yes, but with a course like DeLukas took, you can find out WHY it crashes.

Yea, I now know what a page fault is

Like you have to take a class to find out why something crashes :D .

I prefer the "crush with an open fist until it works" method... it tends to be MUCH more user-friendly, and it adds a bit of percussion to your daily computer tasks (like the whirr that comes from an abused fan, or the clicking that comes from a busted HD).. :D

i know why computers crash and i never took a class......the reason is u fu*ked somthin up obviously :hclam:
