Unless your base of operations is in a hollowed out plateu in monument valley, Utah, I refuse to acknowledge you as Airwolf.

Also, hello.

I thought it was Valley of the Gods? I loved that chopper.

Maybe that's how they referred to it in the show, but as a kid I actually got to see the place where Airwolf was filmed. I was like 6 or 8, and our tourbus stopped in Monument Valley in order to point out some of the sights. I was just about to ask my dad "Isn't that where Airwolf...." and the guide goes "And some of you may recognize Airwolf's base..."

At this point I took off running honestly believing I could catch Airwolf during a refuel or downtime, or whatever. My dad had a helluva time chasing me through the desert on his bum ankle.

cool. I would like to travel the US and see some sights. I have had enough of other continents.

Hi.

I'd recommend against staying too long in the Mojave Desert. ;)

Mammoth and Tahoe are nice though. Visit a town east of Stockton, CA called Bishop. It's real nice. Plus, there's nothing like driving over a pass that sits at 9000 feet. The car has problems and it would have been nice to get out and try to run a bit.

If you're into deserts, then visit Lancaster or Palmdale, or even Palm Springs.

I've heard Alburquerque is better, and Tuscon and Phoenix aren't bad. But Phoenix has some nasty traffic.

Avoid LA. Trust me.

the US is nice to tour, so's Canada, especially northern ontario. I haven't seen much of the US, but i gotta say, everything on either side of I-75 and I-95 between here and Daytona Beach is usually nice.

Except that spot in WA where there's a gun shop between two liquor stores. There were three rusty pickups outside. I kept driving.

Oh, Kentucky is pretty

You must go to Carlsbad caverns.

This is not negotiable.

Also, get thee to Yellowstone, Glacier, Yosemite and if you're at all into the Civil War get to Pennsylvania, as there are some of the best museums/reenactments to be found there. Devil's Den was a personal favorite of mine. Not often do you find an area which saw conflict in the Civil War whilst going rock climbing at the same time.

Antietam. My God man. Go there presently. Bloodiest conflict in the war. They say it's haunted, to boot.

You running after Airwolf? Bwahahahaha. Hilarious! Bet your dad wouldn't agree, at least at the time. :)

Haunted? spiffy. There's a restaurant downtown in the burg i live in that's haunted. they even named the place after the lady who died there.

Oh, and welcome Airwolf ;)

Is he going to return to his thread? :)

i think we scared him off... i don't think he was prepared for the thz tradition of aggressive non-sequitur in its threads :)

Sometimes, a thread is derailed so fast that the conductor doesn't have time to comprehend what is happening, so in a state of panic he bails out, never looking back.

I believe this is one such case. Perhaps when the shock has worn off he will return to see what has become of his precious thread. Maybe if we send a search party we can find him, stumbling through the woods in a daze.

If only we had a super high tech helicopter made of space age alloys with the latest sensor packages.

And a gatling gun.

Where did he even come from ? He just like appeared :shifty

Man, that's the beauty of AirWolf. The space age alloys and silent running turbine give AirWolf near-complete stealth flight. It's no wonder we didn't detect him coming in. And God knows you can't catch AirWolf when it's beating a hasty retreat to its hollowed out mesa stronghold which I say again I went to as a child and I swear to God he was there why wouldn't you let me keep running I could have seen AirWolf you miserable bastards I could have seen him and flown in him and we would have been best friends and had cake.
