i don't know when the contest ends exactly, but the developers of the Red Orchestra mod for UT2004 are holding an open mapmaking contest for (if i'm not mistaken) the next release of this amazing TC that transforms UT into a wildly historically and technologically accurate World War II infantry and vehicle combat simulator to easily rival Battlefield and MOH.

The contest is simple: design and build the best vehicle map your skills make possible. I'm considering trying my hand at it, in an attempt to recreate the famous July 1943 battle of Kursk, the largest mechanized battle in military history. My skills are nil, but it IS an open contest :)

Right now, so far as i know, myself, SiFi, and Aluscia are the THZ representatives on the RO servers. C'mon everyone, join in! We need someone besides SiFi and Aluscia to make a good name for THZ, and more people like myself to make us look bad on a regular basis.

The contest actually ended last friday, Raiyven. You have the link to the site several times over, you really need to keep up with the forum ;)

The contest is scheduled to go for a week of testing and tweaking, and then the six (I think six) maps will be released as a whole. I'm really looking forwards to more than two pure tank maps, which fun as they may be do tend to pall after a while.

OMGZ!!! No chairs.... That friggin chair in the blown up building
across from the Reichstag in Berlin convinces me everytime it's a Russian. Every time... bullets wasted, position given away... trying to get the head of something that is nothing more than a tipped chair.
