Do the Iraqi people want war?

Speaking of anti-war, the parents of a guy that used to live next door to me when I was still in the barracks were on USA Today protesting the war and the fact it was unfair that their son got sent to Kuwait. I wouldn't have known this is it weren't for another friend of mine who was totally psyched because he was in one of the pictures they showed on national tv. The actual topic of the discussion was an afterthought for him calling everyone to watch and check out his picture.

Of course they don't want war. Who in their right minds want a war? Seriously? Especially if they're the ones being attacked.

Buut, that said, they want a regime change.

Kind of a silly question, IMO. I think it would be better phrased:

Do the Iraqi people (discluding Kurds and other minorities) enjoy rule under Hussein? Would they prefer that to war, or do they accept war in exchange for a more just regime later (if they're lucky).

I think it had to do with how excited I was when I was helping out with an engineering career fair at school. I was a volunteer, but I went to all the booths and was hitting on the women. Heh. That was fun!
