Well our first week of Football is gone, and what a weekend it was. Here is a quick recap from the eyes on Xenocidez66
In the most important game of the first week, The Chicago Bears came form behind and beat the hapless Vikings. What an incredible game to listen to on the radio (using my internet connection) I can't even imagine watching it. Truly fantastic 4th quarter football by the Bears. To bad that the rest of the game wasnt' played that way. The Vikings are not the team they were last year. Bears 27 Vickings 23
Now lets do a quick recap of less important games.
Greenbay pulled an overtime win out of their ass to beat Atlanta. To bad it would have been nice to see the Packers lose. Greenbay 37 Atlanta 34
In Miami, Detroit showed us all that they still can't play football. The slow witted lions were trashed, abused, and sent packing. Looks like another long season for Detroit Lion fans. This game gets the "Beating with a stick" award
Miami 49 Detriot 21
In a tie for the "Beating with a stick" award Is the Chargers and Bangles another 28 point spred.
San Diego 34 Cincinnati 6
Carolina 10 Baltimore 7
Not much to say here.
NY Jets, and Buffalo well here is another game that went into over time. Looked to be a good game.
NY Jets 37 Buffalo 31
Kansas City 40 Cleveland 39
Another close game with good numbers.
Washington 31 Arizona 23
Tennessee 27 Philadelpha 24
Indianapolis 28 Jacksonville 25
New Orleans 26 Tampa Bay 20
It goes to show that not all team that get new stadiums can play good football.
Oakland 31 Seattle 17
Denver 23 St. Louis 16
Now to the battle of texas. In this game I was hopeing for a tie but we don't always get what we want. But its always a good thing to see The Cowpies loose
Houston 19 Dallass 10 (good)
Well there is a quick recap of the games for Sunday. If this little spew is unwanted please say so or it will continue all season long. Please understand this is my opinion not part of anyone elses.
Untill next week

Monday night football will be Pittsburgh at New England.
Now the big question I have. Should I continue with this thread or should I not. I am a big football fan and I don't mind doing this.
BUT if the other members of THZ don't wish me to continue I won't.
Its all up to you.

Don't mind me, Xeno... you'll find that I spend much more time bitching about other people's proactivity than actually doing anything proactive myself... Go ahead with it, I was just being a bitch.

Ok here is mondays results. 5 turn overs dose not win football games. Thats what the Steelers found out as they were compleetly out played last night.
New England 30 Pittsburgh 14
Until next week then.

09-11-2002, 03:01 AM
Well yes it does, but if I am going to report the week in football I might as well do it all. I am sure there is someone out there that likes the AFC, I mean people go to the games. I can't imangine why though.

They go because they were unfortunate enough to not live in an area with an NFC team. :lol

I do suppose thats as good a reason as any.

Ok the NFL has put away another week, Nothing spectaular but some interesting results. Here form the eyes and ears of THZ*Xenocidez66
The most important game of the week, BEARS vs Atlanta. Two weeks in a row the Bears have played terrible first half football. All thought this game had the worst officating I have noticed in a very long time. Bad calls went both ways. Anyway the Bears second half went much better. It was the ugliest win of the week but a win. ALL HAIL THE BEARS.
Bears 14 Atlanta 13
Greenbay at New Orleans. Thank you Greenbay for losing the game and putting the BEARS on top of the NFC North.
New Orleans 35 Greenbay 20
Vikings vs Buffalo. Wild game this one. The game goes in to over time again for Buffalo except they beat the Vikings. The Vikings had 5 fumbles 3 by the QB which were all turn overs that resulted in 13 points for the Bills. OOOPPPsss (can any Vikings fans say "San Antonio Vikings")
Buffalo 45 Vickings 39
Carolina vs Detroit. The battle of the 2 worst teams last year. Again the Lions are soundly beaten arround the head and sholders.
Carolina 31 Detroit 7
Now to the less important games
Cleveland 20 Cincinnati 7
The "Beaten with a Stick" award goes to the NY Jets Loosing by 37 points this week.
New England 44 NY Jets 7
Jacksonville 23 Kansas City 16
Miami 21 Indianapolis 13
Unfortunatly dallass won a game this week. Oh well there is all ways next week.
dallass 21 Tenessee 13
The shut out of the week.
Tampa Bay 25 Baltimore 0
The Seahawlks come home to the new house. And Blow it and loose by 11
Arizona 24 Seattle 13
Ny Giants 26 St Louis 21
Denver 24 San Francisco 14
San Diego 24 Houston 3
Okland 30 Pittsburg 17
And for Monday its Philadelphia at Washington.
There you go untill next week

ahh the Seahawks, I can't remember the last time they didn't loose the first two of the season. Did Dilfer start?
Xenocidez66
09-16-2002, 10:52 AM
Yes, Dilfer was 29 of 47 for a career-best 352 yards and a touchdown. didn't seem to help much.
Stang
09-16-2002, 04:29 PM
Its the Seahawks, nothing helps.

I didn't get a chance to watch the Vikings the last 2 weeks. Maybe next week or something.... Family takes up a lot of time.
Xenocidez66
09-17-2002, 12:51 AM
thats all right the Vikings have lost close games both weeks because of Culperrers turn overs. It wasn't a pretty sight aginst the Bears with 2 and 7 points I can't Imagine what 3 and 13 points was like this week.
Another long Viking season??? That remains to be seen because they are playing way above the level they were last year. Except for turnovers of course.
Spinning Hat
09-17-2002, 06:39 AM
Culpepper needs to go get laid or something. He's been playing very well the last couple years, and he needs to get into his groove again.
Xenocidez66
09-17-2002, 12:43 PM
oops I almost for got about monday night football.
Philadelphia 37 Washington 7
More or less Washington never even showed up to play. While Philly had over 400 yards offence and Washinton just over 100.
Thats Football for the week Until Sunday

Ok well with last nights game week 3 is officialy over. And here is how it looked.
In the most important game, the Chicago Bears showed up to play the first half scoring 20 points. To bad they let 21 unanswered points go after that. The bears lost a game in witch the other team did what the Bears normaly do to opponets.
Chicago 23 New Orleans 29
Green Bay had a gimme game this week by playing Detroit. Again the lions loose.
Green Bay 37 Lions 31
It seems that even the Vikings can't chatch a break either. They lose to Carolina making the Vikings tied for the bottom of the NFC North with the Lions at 0-3
Carolina 21 Minnesota 14
Cleveland 21 Tennessee 28
New England 41 Kansas City 38 (over time)
Miami blasted the Jets
Miami 30 NY Jets 2
Indianapolis 23 Houston 3
In the happiest game of the week and the "Beating with a Stick" award
Philadelphia 44 Dallass 13 (I like it when dalass looses)
Denver 28 Buffalo 23
San Diego 23 Arizona 15
San Francisco 20 Washington 10
In a grand game of field goals Seattle STILL can't seem to catch a break.
NY Giants 9 Seattle 3
Atlanta 30 Cincinnati 3
Monday nite
Tampa Bay 26 St Louis 14
There is another week down. Stay tuned

Dante Culpepper needs to do something... he's been in a nasty slump this year...
Xenocidez66
09-25-2002, 02:20 AM
That seems to be the case and now that Moss has been arrested. What next for the Vikings.
But that might be a good thing for all the Seattle fans. Seattle hasn't won a game yet either and they play the Vikings next week.
Hmmmm

OK, Heads up. week is just a bad memmory in the minds of some and having lingering psycodelic affects on others.
The most important. My Bears chewed and clawed their way through 4 more quaters only to lose in OT this week. Where Buffalow played well all game the Bears did not.
Chicago 27 Buffalo 33.
the rest
Green Bay squeeks one out past Carolina (BOOO HISSSS GGrrrrrr) Putting them one game up over the Bears in the NFC North.
Green Bay 17 Carolina 14
Detroit gets the Bears Revenge for beating New Orleans this week and winning their first game as well.
Detroit 26 New Orleans 21
What happens when the Vikings play with Seahalks... THEY LOSE!!! Yes Seattle won their first game this week at the expence of the Vikings.
Seattle 48 New Orleans 21
NY Jets still can't seem to even put togeather a close game (Almost feel sorry for them)
Jacksonville 28 NY Jets 3
Kansas City 48 Miami 30
Dallas 13 St Louis 10.
Pitsburg 16 Cleveland 13
Philadelphia 35 Houston 17
Tampa Bay 35 Cincinnati 7
Arizona 21 NY Giants 7
San Diego 21 New England 14
Okland 52 Tennessee 25
Monday night
Baltimore 34 Denver 23
On a lighter note.
3 Football fans are walking along. 1 is a Seahalks fan 1 is a Viking fan, and the last is a Bears fan. On their walk disscussing the "greatness" of their respective states and teams, they find a bottle with a jinni in it. The jinni agrees to grant them each one wish. The Seahalk fan starts by saying that Washington is full of wounderfull forests and has the great city of Seattle and that for ever my they always be so. The jinni nods and claps his hands and says " It shal be so."
The Viking fan (bar far the most delusional of the group) says " I want a wall, a wall that goes completly arround my state so that no Seahalk or Bears fan can get in and to preserve the perfection of Minnesota" Again the jinni nods and claps his hands "It shall be so"
The Bears fan, who has been waiting paciently looks at both the other fans and then to the jinni. He ponders something and then asks the jinni. " Tell me about this wall"
The wall is 200 feet high and 40 feet thick. Nothing can go arround or through it." said the jinni.
"Ok" says the Bears fan smiling. "Fill it full of water"

I thought you might like that. Here is another
You know that traffic cop that Randy Moss pushed along for 20 feet??? People are calling that the best drive the Vikings have had all year.
Spinning Hat
10-02-2002, 04:42 AM
ROFL.... It was half a block, according to the local news here.... Dennis Green did a good job of keeping Randy Moss in line, and Mike Tice has no idea how to run an effective team. I don't like him at all, and I hope, that Red McCombs finds a new Head Coach for next season.
Xenocidez66
10-02-2002, 10:57 AM
The way I see it Dennis Green in his last year couldn't control the team, and Derrin Nelson kept Randy in line. At least it seem that the Vikings coaching staff has things under controll. They just can't win football games that's all.

Well week 5 is over, among other thing. Here is how the week ended.
Monday night Football saw the oldest rivalry in football. The packers and the Bears. 80+ years of football history between these two clubs. The Bears blew it again. In standard Bret Farve fasion he made the Bears look silly. This guy always has his best games vs the Bears.

NY Giants 21 dallas 17 (great game here)
