Default The joy's of surgery...

Well Wensday at 12:45 p.m. I get to have my right upper calf cut open again. Seems the cyst I had taken out last june is back in full force. The bastard is about 4 to 5 inches long starting from the back of my knee extending down into the muscle. Hopefully this time the doctor can find out what's causing it. If he doesn't find anything from the orthescopic inspection all he can do is remove it and like last time hope it doesn't come back. Oh joy, I would rather have my nuts smacked with a sheetrock hammer a few times than go thru this again.

Ok well enough bitching I guess. I'm off to think happy thoughts.

I didn't notice it at 1 inch because my knee had been swollen and inflamed for some time. I only noticed it because I was playing a game and happened to put my foot up on my desk and flexed my calf muscle. That's when I noticed this weird lump that looked like it was on top of the existing muscle. So I went to the doctor and he had it MRI'd. He said it was the biggest cyst he had seen. He recomended taking it out and scoping my knee to see what was causing all the fluid to build up. Well he didn't find anything with the scope so all he was able to do was remove the cyst and hope it didn't come back. That all happened last June.

In December I noticed the lump was back but there wasn't any pain with it this time. Well I got it MRI'd again and it was back just as big if not bigger than before. And in january it started hrting again. This time the doctor sent me to a soft tissue specialist. So this is round 2. This new guy seems to know what he's doing though.

Well that happy pills are making me tired as hell so I'm going back to bed.

Get well, Mob. I pray for you everyday. I really hope this guy can figure out what's going on.

I'm slowly being filled with the constant dread that this demand is going to force the cyst onto eBay.

Good luck, Mobius!

Nope, didn't keep it. It was sent out for some tests to make sure it wasn't some form of cancer or something else serious. It looked nasty, like a cross between a leach and an ameoba.
