Default Winter Storm

How are you northwest THZer's holding up? Saw news stuff today about severe winter storm(s) in Wash/Ore with high winds, nasty snow/ice, and such.

Awesome day of snow on saturday then rain took over sunday. Sunday night starting pouring very hard and now has stopped raining but wind is still keeping up. Suprised we haven't lost power yet. Flooding here and there where we are but nothing what other places are getting. We got hit hard and looks like the rain will be returning shortly so more flooding on the way. Would love to be at the ocean though even though they are getting hit pretty hard and majority are without power. I don't think I've seen it hit this hard with rain in all that I can remember. Sheets of rain coming down and going sideways.

I left work early because highways were starting to get shut down from flooding causing grid lock on the main freeway. Got home to hear that traffic is backed up all the way to work.

Down south they completely closed I-5 in both directions because the freeway is underwater.

Pretty crazy, second wettest day on record so far.

I-5 is now under 10ft or water. Good thing its not closer to use traveling to Oregon or we wouldn't be on the road don't need the extra 7 hours on top of the 5 it takes usually.

Well, glad to hear you're OK. Sounds pretty ugly.

Of course, now that Asha is all used to the desert, he'd probably have a meltdown if he got caught in a rainstorm like that.
