Default anime/manga

what are your favourite anime/manga characters? Mine are Yusuke Yurimeshi, Kenshin Himura, Duo Maxwell, and Tetsou (from Akira).

That's a tough choice... really there are just so many good anime characters... Tomie is becoming my favourite right now because of the manga N-chan has me reading...

Otherwise I'd have to say... Bateau from Ghost in the Shell... especially Stand Alone Complex, he's awesome... although the captain is hot.

But if it counts my favourite character is Auron from FInal Fantasy X... which is kinda anime, but it's a videogame.

Eeeek I forgot to mention Kitsune!!!!

She's definately my fave, and not just because of the name... The first time you see her she's hung over from her 19th birthday party... it's GREAT. She's always drunk and whatnot.
So Kitsune from Love Hina, definately my fave....

Afterall, she is my avatar V

yeah that is a tough call, I agree with KitZ choice of Mitsune cuz i like the comedy she adds. Vash the Stampede goes into the Cool with what he has category. Too many though.

Chobits is pretty good. I am about to start to finish an anime i have had for a while. It is called Martian Successor Nadesico. Let me see if i can think of some animes:

Ones i have seen:
Love Hina (considered a classic by many)
Angelic Layer (i like the fights but it seems geared toward kids but not in the pokemon way)
FLCL (very funny, very original)
Trigun (Pre-TOONAMI)
first season of Ranma 1/2 (FUNNY)
Ah! My Goddess (touching)
I Me My Strawberry Eggs (funny)
Gasaraki (cool in some ways)
some Gundam Seed (not enough seen to judge, typical giant robot)
Neon Genesis Evangelion (COOL but OH SO VERY FREAKY toward the end)
Saber Marionette J (been a while but it was pretty good)

I have heard about tons though and can identify quite a few

Ones i want to watch:
Fuushigi Yuugi (at the suggestion of KitZ)
the rest of Ranma
Naruto
Serial Experiments Lain
Kare Kano
Onegai Teacher
trying to get Kodomo no Omocha

I think that is all I think I can think

Fushigi Yuugi is the best... watch that one... it's very adult, and very heartfelt... it plays with your emotions.
If you need to download episodes from somewhere, I have them all in .avi form so you could like set up little download sessions with me, I don't mind the drain of my bandwidth... But seriously FY is ammmmazing. But Chobits is probably my favourite anime right now. I just love Chii, she's adorable.

Other really good ones are Cowboy Bebop, Serial Experiments Lain, and Magic Knights Rayearth (although slightly childish)

I've seen Cowboy Bebop (not sure if I've seen them all) and want to see the movie that came out last month.

Ill get ahold of you when we get caught up on Chobits and Ill steal some bandwith from ya .

Thanks for the list.

They have this new show on the Cartoon Network on Sat. nights called "Hack Sign" and its weird but it keeps you thinkin and wanting to watch more. Another one they use to play but dont anymore and we loved it was "Pilot Candidate". Seems that one only had one season.

Well i have all of Cowboy Bebop and all of Chobits aswell if you need any episodes of them ; ) My computer is riddled with Anime... if anime were C4, I could blow up half of toronto with my computer.

The Cowboy Bebop movie was okay.... It takes place later in the series... like between episode 22 and 23 I think... I didn't like it as much as the series though, they kinda changed the feel of it... although there are some good parts to it. Like at the beginning how they deal with some convenience store robbers.... hilarious.

Ghost in the Shell : Stand Alone Complex has to be my favourite Anime ATM.... Major Kusanagi is da bomb. Darkstalkers is another wicked anime based on a video game.... Fushigi Yuugi is a must see... That's about all I have to say, except maybe see Escaflowne as well, because Escaflowne has probably the best soundtrack ever recorded for an anime.

I haven't seen any anime scince I left Alaska in 98 so I am kind of short on the new stuff. But I think that my favorites are El Hazard the Magnificent world and Vampire Princess Miyu.

I have all episodes of Cowboy Bebop, thanks to Sirus and some long sessions on Gnutella. Drop me a line (ambushbug@midwestmail.com) if you need any.
