yup, that's the one
I wonder... would it take away from the original splendor of HW to engineer the original game as a TC for HW2?

Not that much. The engine tweaks alone are worth it.....though I like multiple build and research queues from HW. Though having two fleets with identical abilities can get boring. I suppose it's all in the tactics. (Scout sting, to distract. Now, 400 salvage corvettes, go!)

lol. not completely identical, don't forget, the field frigate and hive frigate! ooooooooo! the two most useless frigates in the game, unless you take the unit cap off

though, the nice thing about salvage corvettes is that they're much easier to pick off than a marine frigate... and they're not armed, either.

Though it is fun to watch someone try and make off with your destroyer, knock two of the corvettes off, and watch the other three spin it around in circles

and who can forget the Kamikaze command? 400 scouts, ramming speed!

A destroyer takes three salvage corvettes, frigates two, and carriers and heavy cruisers five. Trust me on this one

And I developed the "everything of yours soon will be mine" playing style on the 14th level of HW, where there's the sphere of 200 or so ion cannon frigates that are just the perfect distance apart to capture one by one.

heh personally i liked (i think it was) missions 5-7 or so? Bridge of Sighs was one of them, i remember, i REPLAYED it enough times. Those Multi-Beam Frigates, hoooo... picked up four or five of those and managed to keep em' till the last mission. came in handy with that goddamn rock they throw at you in 14

Who needs frigates with more than one beam? That's what the 200 ion cannon frigates are for. Then the rest of the fleet distracts the enemy while my salvage corvettes kidnap them all

it's just not the same in HW2... as i recall my last minefield led to an hour-long standoff broken only by a lag drop

yeah, it's because of that i changed my tactics when the game lags because of all those mines moving at once, it's like a friendly heart murmur telling me to cut back on my caffeine. started SC again, Sam Fisher is my friggin hero.

btw, when are you free next, post-saturday afternoon? (test at 2pm. yes, on a saturday)

Sorry for not catching this sooner.

The song is actually pretty famous... Adagio for Strings, Samuel Barber. I've heard everything from realllllllllly slow performances, fast performances, techno, DDR, and this.
