Just uploading a pic of the sampler I'm working on, plus another of what (I hope)

I still have one that I started in a drawer that she gave me that I need to work on.

About 80 hours, I guess. Advanced ones are a pain. :D

crap i do not have the patience for that.

Nope. Contract work of this sort doesn't pay terribly well. Designing patterns for other people to do is more profitable, and that I have considered.

the bookstore i work in carries no fewer than fifty-odd needlepoint/cross-stitch magazines and the like. You could probably sell patterns to them if you wanted

Very true. It's not a bad living, once you get started. Of course, you end up giving a nice chunk to the publisher, but still.
